1949
Born August 4 in Utsunomiya as eldest son of sculptor SAEKI Rusuo and SAEKI Yaeko.
1965
Graduated from junior High School Attached to Utsunomiya University.
1968 Graduated from Tochigi Prefectural Utsunomiya Higashi High School.
1971 Left Industrial Design Department of Musashino Art University,entered Department of Crafts of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
1974 Received Encouragement Award for Irabo Glaze Vase with Line Motif in Tochigi Prefecture Art Festival,Crafts Section.
1975
Graduated from Department of Crafts of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.Received Salon de Printemp Award for graduation work consisting of 13 Inlaid Vases. Fired Inlay Line Motif Vase shown in the 15th New Works of Traditional Craft Exhibition.
1976
Fired Inlay Wide- mouthed Vase accepted in International Ceramics Exhibition '76,Inlaid Line Motif Vase accepted in the 23rd Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition for first time.
1977
Completed postgraduate studies in ceramics at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
Cotton Rose Plate purchased by the University Archives.Joined Hanawa Toen,Ltd.
1978
Received Art Festival Award for Inlaid Vase at Tochigi Prefectural Art Festival Crafts Section.
1980
Became official member of Japan Art and Crafts Association.
1981
Left Hanawa Toen,Ltd.Established independent studio in Haga,Tochigi Prefecture.
1983
Exhibited works in Japanese Ceramics Today (Smithsonian Institution,Washington DC and Victoria and Albert Museum,London).
1987
Became part-time instructor at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (until2001).
1988
Received Encouragement Award for Bowl with Scratched Motif of Sankirai in the 28th New Works of Traditional Crafts Exhibition.
Received Award of Excellence for Marbled Inlay Tree Motif Vase in '88 International Ceramics Exhibition.
1989
Received TochigiPerefecture Cultural Incitement Award.
1990
Received Marronier Cultural Award.
1991
Received Tokyo Metropolitan Government Education Committee Award for Marbled Clay Vase with Inlaid Tree Design at the 31st New Works of Traditional Crafts Exhibition.
1994
Judged Craft Section of Tochigi Perefectural Art Festival.
1995
Member of judging committee of the 35th New Works of Traditional Crafts Exhibition.
1996
Member of judging committee of the 36th New Works of Traditional Crafts Exhibition.
1998
Member of evaluation committee of the 38th New Works of Traditional Crafts Exhibition.
2001
Became part-time instructor at Bunsei Art University.
2002
Member of evaluation committee of the 42nd New Works of Traditional Crafts Exhibition.Flat Vase,Iron Glaze on Overglaze with Inlaid Trees Design purchased by the Imperial Household Agency.Received Judges'Special Award at the Mashiko Ceramics Exhibition.
2004
Received Gold Prize at the Otaki Village Hokkaido Ceramics Exhibition,the Issui-kai Award at the 66th Issui-kai Ceramics Exhibition.
2005
Received Honorable Mention at the 67th Issui-kai Ceramics Exhibition.
2006
Member of judging committee of the 46th New Works of Traditional Crafts Exhibition.
